Request Blackboard Communities Certification Training (Staff / Student Officers)
For Staff and Students who are officers in clubs, societies, and organization to have Leader, Assistant, or Course Builder status in Blackboard Communities sites, you will need to receive formal training in any one of the methods below:
1. Complete a campus Bb Instructor Certification workshop. To register for this workshop, locate a time and date in the calendar below and follow the instructions there.
2. Complete the online, self quided, and monitored Bb Communities Leader or Course Builder Certification Tutorial . **Course Builders do not have full control panel access; they can upload content, create announcements, send email, and view all available content in a site. They do NOT have access to surveys, tests, gradebooks, and assessment tools.
To register for the online training, send an email to the Learning Technology Center at ltc@duq.edu requesting either the Leaders OR Course Builder tutorial.

2. Complete the online, self quided, and monitored Bb Certification Tutorial. To register for this training, send an email to the Learning Technology Center at ltc@duq.edu requesting this tutorial.
3. Request an Exemption because you have received formal training elsewhere. Send an email to the Learning Technology Center at ltc@duq.edu requesting an exemption for previous training and use of Blackboard. An LTC staff member will contact you for more information.

Request Blackboard's Gradebook training
Do you want to learn how to use Blackboard's gradebook? The gradebook is available in every Blackboard site for those who have completed Instructor or Communities Leader certification. You do not need additional certification to use the gradebook.
Learn the basic functions of the gradebook so that you can access Blackboard assignments, tests, and surveys and post student grades. Choose one of the options below for this training:
1. Attend a campus Bb Gradebook workshop. To register for this workshop, locate a time and date in the calendar below and follow the instructions there.
2. Complete the online, self-guided, and monitored Bb Gradebook Tutorial. To register for this training, send an email to the Learning Technology Center at ltc@duq.edu requesting this tutorial.

Request Wimba Classroom Certification Training
Wimba Classroom is a voice and video enabled webinar tool for use in Blackboard course and communities sites. This webinar tool includes a presentation area for PowerPoint slides, web page display as well as interactive polling, breakout rooms for small groups, and allows your students to use these tools to present to the class.
To be able to request the Wimba Classroom tool for your Blackboard site, you will need to receive formal training by one of the two methods below: ' Attend one of our webinar training sessions. To register for one of our webinars, locate a time and date in the calendar below and follow the instructions there. ' Request an Exemption because you have received formal training elsewhere.

Request Wimba Voice Tools and Wimba Podcasting Certification Training
Wimba Voice Tools is a set of voice tools used within Blackboard course and communities sites. With these Voice Tools, you and your students can use Voice Email, Podcasts, Voice Discussion Boards, and instructors can create audio lectures and presentations within their Bb sites.
To be able to request the Wimba Voice tools for your Blackboard site, you will need to receive formal training by one of the two methods below: ' Attend one of our webinar training sessions. To register for one of our webinars, locate a time and date in the calendar below and follow the instructions there. ' Request an Exemption because you have received formal training elsewhere.
